Ordering a custom Defender starts with a build consultation to choose your configuration, trim, and options, followed by placing a factory order through Land Rover Austin. From there, production timing depends on current factory allocation — the sooner the order is placed, the sooner it enters the build queue.
Build consultation. We walk through configuration, trim level, exterior and interior color, and option packages based on how you actually plan to use the vehicle — daily driving, Hill Country trail work, or both. This is also the point to raise financing and any trade-in questions, so the full picture is clear before anything is finalized.
Factory order placed. Once the configuration is finalized, we submit the order to the factory on your behalf, locking in the exact spec you chose. You'll get a copy of the confirmed configuration for your own records.
Production and port processing. The vehicle is built to your specification, then processed through the port before transport to Austin. Our team can provide status updates during this stage on request.
Arrival and delivery prep. Once it arrives, our team completes final inspection and delivery preparation, including a full walkthrough of your Defender's features and off-road systems, before handing over the keys.
